Although it is easy to find lots to do on the island of Ambergris Caye, trips and tours to the mainland can be a great way to learn more about Belize while you are on vacation. Some of the many things you might decide to do include SNUBA diving at the nearby Mexico Rocks, exploring Belize City, zip-lining through the forest canopy, exploring underground caves by inner tube and even visiting some of the oldest Mayan ruins in the entire country.

Trying to pick from the many adventure tours in Belize is far from easy. With so many options, visitors staying in Ambergris Caye are often confused about the best options. Some of the things that travelers will definitely want to make time for include swimming, snorkeling or diving in places like the Hol Chan Marine Preserve and Shark-Ray Alley. Other adventurous expeditions include crossing the border to Guatemala and exploring ancient Mayan temples, caving in underground rivers by inner tube or embarking on a jungle adventure that involves harnesses, canopy exploration and plenty of thrills.

The local landscape is riddled with caves, making spelunking at all levels easy and thrilling, and daring types may rappel into caves or float their lengths in inner tubes. Belize is a multicultural nation, where ruins of ancient temples sit next door to Mayan-speaking villages and Caribbean festivals rock the nights. There’s something new to do here every day, and Belize’s friendly people are glad to help out travelers.

Belize is a serene destination that’s located in one of the world’s last unblemished area. The country is full of everything from lush rain forests and colorful barrier reefs. For travelers from the U.S., it’s nice to know that Belize is an English-speaking country, which makes it easy to find your way around and ask locals for advice. Plus, it’s a short trip from Houston, Dallas and Miami, taking only two hours to get to your destination.

Some of the smartest investors in the world are buying property in Ambergris Caye, Belize. There are several reasons investors are interested in this location. One is that the real estate is affordable and the demand is increasing by the day. By getting in early, they will have an opportunity to either rent out their property or sell it for a profit down the road. Doing both at the same time is also possible. Another big reason investors are so interested is because there are so many things to do on Ambergris Caye.

Diving on Ambergris Caye is an enchanting experience. The warm, clear blue waters are perfect for exploring coral reef, tropical fish and other marine life beneath the sea. Ambergris Caye is one of the most popular attractions and has easy access to areas such as Lighthouse Reef and Turneffe Islands. Because of the area’s popularity, there is some environmental degradation, but the coral reef is now protected by mooring buoys. For the most part, scuba diving visitors on Ambergris Caye can enjoy the area unencumbered and unrestricted as long as the area is respected.
